Market Shopping
The market stocks everything from the locally grown fruits and vegetables to the best quality designer fakes. Much of the clothing is of a high quality and well priced, there is also a wide range of shoes with quality leather slippers being very good buys. Haggling Tips
Part of the market experience is the haggling over a fair price, below are some simple tips to follow.
Although haggling is a long established part of the Turkish shopping experience the practise is in decline. Where items are displayed with a clear price tag then haggling is often not used. Further as tourists become more cost conscious and stall holders more competitive you should not be surprised to hear them say they don't haggle, respect this and take the price as is.
A Market LunchIn our opinion there is no better way to round off a trip to the market than a Gözleme (filled pancake) sat by the river watching the boats sail past. Gözleme stalls can be found around the market and fill the air with an appetising fragrance. Gözleme comes with a range of fillings from Apple, Chocolate, Potato and cheese, at just a couple of Lira each they also make an inexpensive meal. Local Market Days

The Dalyan market is held every Saturday in the centre of the town, as with all markets in the area it is a working market so you will shop alongside locals going about their weekly shop.
